Driver Sweeper 2.0.5 is a system maintenance tool for Windows. The application allows you to clean up the tracks that certain hardware devices leave when you uninstall them. When you remove a video card, for example, and you don't uninstall the drivers and install the drivers of the new one, you are leaving junk behind that can potentially take a toll on your systems performance. Even if you do uninstall the drivers, there will be some leftovers. Driver Sweeper presents a list of all known driver installations on your system. By checking a particular device, you can tell the application to get rid of all the files associated with the installation. To do that, you simply click on Analyze and a list of files will show up. You can delete one or all the files by clicking on the Clean button. You should make sure that you are running Driver Sweeper as an Administrator, because, otherwise, the application will act up and most likely become unresponsive when you are trying to search for drivers on your computer. You should also bear in mind that deleting drivers is a serious task and you shouldn't try it if you have no clue about what you are doing. There are also options to backup and restore your drivers.
